There is something about these startup that caught my attention.
I tend to buy a lot online. And I almost always do it on Amazon.com. Why? Because I trust them.
There’s never been a single problem with the shipping or payment and great, considering the huge mount of orders they get every day.
So why don’t I buy more in small online shops? Because I don’t know if they have a good system to deliver and I don’t know if what I buy is exactly the same quality I will get. I believe a lot of people have the same problem.
Well, Klarna introduced a new model in e-commerce . It allows a customer to order an item without paying, where the customer pays later, only when they are satisfied with the product.
When the item is purchased, Klarna pays the merchant; when the customer keeps the item, Klarna then bills the customer.
Klarna charges a fee to the merchant for the service. The merchant then decides whether to charge a fee to the customer or not.
Great idea eh!
I liked the concept so much that I decided to take a plane and visit them in Stockholm. I’ll be posting in the next days the interview I did to their co-founder and COO, Niklas Adalberth.
