Today, as every day I got up, went for my cup of coffee and started a new day.
Checking my inbox and answering emails, reading the news, searching the web and BOOM! I stumble across a video showing how Vancity Group launched their intranet. It’s just GREAT!
As you all now I’m very involved in intranets and I must say this is one of the best videos I’ve seen so far on how to tell your colleagues:

If you are now planning to launch a new social intranet this is the way to do it. I loved it!
Follow these steps and you’ll have a successful users will love..and use.
Get feedback from users (small group with people in HR, Internal Comms, IT, Sales, Executives…you get the concept ….it has to be representative enough)
Go back to the users and test the new changes
Make note of what they use and like and what they don’t use and don’t like.
Feedback of the whole company
Implement changes and test them in production
This process of design-communicate-test is constant
This guys really understood that it’s not about the technology, It’s about the people
